After 3 years, I decided to go back to the Isle of Arran in Scotland. Before departing, I had recently acquired an entirely new digital setup focused around the Nikon Z-Mount. While I shoot a lot of digital, I had always hesitated to bring it on trips in which I have traditionally only shot on film, primarily because I could never find a way to translate the perfect, clinical images of digital into a style I found consistent with the rest of my work. To solve this, I decided to lean into going full monochrome for this trip, which I think might be the way to go looking forward.
